Matthew Sonneby

Matthew T. Sonneby graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2017 with a degree in Environmental Science. He later decided to attend Gonzaga University School of Law continuing the family legacy of becoming an attorney.

Matthew began his career in Washington State where he successfully defended the State of Washington and its agencies in personal injury, insurance defense, and civil rights claims. He has since decided to turn his attention to the other side of the bar, and defend criminal defendants in their hour of need. This decision brought him to Bend, Oregon where he currently practices in the area of criminal defense fighting for his clients’ rights.

Matthew Sonneby is admitted to the bar in Oregon; Washington State; the Federal District Courts for the Western and Eastern District of Washington; and, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. In his spare time, he enjoys baking, hiking, and traveling with his wife and three dogs.
